Durable, great sounding, easy to play flute 10/10

I really love Butch Hall flutes. They are hard to wet out and the sound that comes out is nice, warm, and loud. They are easy to play and this Concert E is not the exception. There is some good space between the bottom 3 holes which might be difficult for someone with small hands to reach but, otherwise, it’s something that you can get used to quick.

I have been looking for a soft backpack style flute case for years after seeing one at Zion. I am glad Jonny has brought them back. My large hard case was heavy and uncomfortable to carry as a backpack. This backpack is light weight, comfortable to carry, well made, and sturdy enough to protect my instruments. Since we are carrying musical instruments, I have never been challenged to carry this pack on an aircraft even on the smaller regional ones.

As a flute maker, I carry a number flutes to sell at festivals and this backpack will allow me to carry as many as 15 depending on their size. The pockets allow me to add my iPad, water bottle, and other miscellaneous items which I could not do with the hard case.

Personally I recommend this style case over the hard cases for the above reason.

The ties are soft, pliable, and easy to tie.

The Intentional flute players program is just what I wanted and needed. The native american flute is easy to play but hard to master. It's easy to fool yourself that you're making progress when you work by yourself. But when you have some structure, some guidance, some feedback you can see what you need and were you are going. I know the financial commitment may seem high but it's worth it.
