2025 Jonny Lipford Signature Native-Style Flute [A4]

This flute marks the beginning of something truly special—the first of five flutes in a signature collaboration between Jonny Lipford and master craftsman Jon Norris. Each instrument in this series is designed around one of the Core Values of M.U.S.I.C., which guide Jonny’s vision for Expanding Horizons, the Horizons Flute Store, and the Horizons Flute School.

This first release represents M for Meaning: performing with intention and aligning every note with the heart of the matter. More than just an instrument, this flute is a companion for players who want their music to carry depth and resonance—within themselves and for those who listen.

Unique Craftsmanship & Design

Handcrafted from mahogany, this flute features elegant walnut accents and a striking crow fetish. The foot of the flute carries a burnt crow head motif, representing wisdom, transformation, and the mystery of the unseen.

Details include:

• Tiger’s eye cabochons on the top and sides of the flute

• An arrow design burned in the body, symbolizing direction and intention

• Brass inlay around the mouthpiece for glimmer and contrast

• Brass eyes set into the crow head for a vivid, life-like finish

Measuring approximately 30 inches in length, the flute is tuned to the key of A minor.

Tone & Sound Quality

Jon Norris has brought his renowned craftsmanship to this project, refining a tonal design unique to this series. Unlike his concert line, this flute carries a warmer, more resonant, and responsive voice—full-bodied yet intimate. It is as rich in sound as it is beautiful in appearance, making it both a performance instrument and a work of art.

The tone of this flute was carefully dialed in to embody the core value of Meaning: warm, vibrant, and deeply intentional.
