Instrument Discovery is a hands-on evening at Horizons Sounds created for anyone who wants to experience instruments beyond simply seeing them on a shelf.

During Instrument Discovery: Singing Bowls, we'll spend time exploring how these instruments work, the sounds they can create, what makes one different from another, and what to listen for when choosing an instrument of your own.

We'll be joined by Singing Bowl extraordinaire, Natalie Brown. 

You'll hear live demonstrations, have opportunities to ask questions, and spend time experiencing the instruments for yourself. You don't need any musical background or previous experience. Curiosity is enough.

What You'll Experience

  • Time after the session to continue exploring and shopping throughout Horizons Sounds

This isn't a sales presentation. It's an opportunity to slow down, learn something new and experience instruments in a way that's difficult to do online.

Event Details

$20 per person

Plan for approximately 60 minutes of guided discovery, followed by additional time to browse, ask questions and experience instruments throughout the shop.

Advance registration is required. Space is intentionally limited so everyone has an opportunity to participate.

Before You Attend

No instrument or previous experience is required unless specifically noted for an individual event.

These evenings are designed primarily for adults. Participants ages 13–17 are welcome when attending with a registered adult.

Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin together.
