The Horizons Flute Summit

September 10–13, 2026 | Hiawatha, Iowa

Join us for a four-day immersive gathering designed for flute players who want to grow in skill, confidence, and connection.

The Horizons Summit is an intimate, in-person experience where music, community, and creativity come together. Beginning Thursday afternoon and closing Sunday morning, we’ll spend our time in focused classes, collaborative sessions, a Friday night flute circle, and an evening concert under the stars.

This year’s theme, Groove & Flow, invites you to explore rhythm with strength and grounding, while learning to release force and allow your music to move naturally. We’ll work on technique, phrasing, improvisation, and tone, but also the deeper work of finding ease, confidence, and expression in the person behind the flute.

Pricing Options

Summit Tuition (Meals Not Included): $650 ($550 for H+ Members)

Includes full access to all four days of the Horizons Flute Summit, beginning Thursday afternoon and concluding Sunday morning. Tuition covers all classes, workshops, instructor sessions, the Friday night flute circle, and the evening concert experience.

Early Bird pricing saves $100 through June 1.
Horizons+ Members receive an additional $100 off tuition with membership in good standing.

Meals are optional and may be added separately.

Summit Tuition + Full Meal Package: $800 ($700 for H+ Members)

Includes full access to all four days of the Horizons Flute Summit — classes, workshops, instructor sessions, the Friday night flute circle, and the evening concert — plus shared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners throughout the Summit.

The meal package is designed to make the weekend seamless, allowing you to stay present and connected without needing to leave for meals.

Additional Meal Plan (Guest Add-On): $150

This option is for spouses, friends, or travel companions who will be joining you during the Summit but are not participating in classes or program activities.

Includes shared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners throughout the Summit weekend.

Please note: This option does not include access to classes, workshops, flute circle, concerts, or other Summit events. It is intended only as a meal add-on for accompanying guests.

Lodging

Lodging is not included. Guests may reserve nearby hotel or camping accommodations or arrange on-site lodging directly through Prairiewoods by calling (319) 395-6700 to confirm availability and make arrangements.

Space is intentionally limited to preserve an intimate and high-impact experience.

There is a 25% cancellation fee if you cancel before September 1, 2026.
If you cancel your reservation on or after September 1, 2026, there is a 100% fee forfeiture.
