The Island Flutes Bamboo Series Native American-style flutes have such a sweet and mellow tone for being high-pitched flutes! These flutes are made from bamboo and feature a carved bamboo feather for the block. Each flute is one-of-a-kind with the stone inlay, color and mouthpiece varying. See below for information regarding each flute.

Goes sharp too easily.

I was sad that there was no turquoise color inlay and that the flute was not colorful. Also, you have to use the lightest breath possible to play in E 440 without going sharp which makes it hard to get a good vibrato. I bought this flute to match and record with my bass E 440 and I have had to learn strict light breath control with this flute to play in tune with my bass flute. Tone is lovely.

Lovely sound

I have all of these Island Flutes Bamboo series and really love them. The high E is sweet and clear. And sounds great through a mic with some reverb.

Love this flute!

I’ll admit when I first got it, I was disappointed with its look. No turquoise inlay and very dull in wood color compared to the pictures. But its sound makes up for that 100 percent and I hope to buy another key next year! Super clean, crisp quality sound, perfect for my goal of playing Irish sounding music. It lasts really long without wetting out too which is fantastic!
