Rain Spirit Flutes - Native-style Flute

This Artisan’s Choice flute features a 7-hole design and breaks into two separate pieces, making it easier to transport and store.

The seventh hole is a thumb hole on the back of the flute for the upper hand. This allows the flute to play up to four notes above the octave in tune, expanding its melodic range beyond a standard 6-hole flute.

For players familiar with a 6-hole flute, the transition is very natural. The pentatonic minor scale and common cross-finger notes remain the same when the thumb hole is covered. The main difference appears when playing above the octave, where releasing the thumb hole enables access to higher notes.

Important note on handedness:
The D and E flutes are designed for left-handed players.

This flute is well suited for players who want extended range, familiar fingering, and the convenience of a two-piece design for travel.
